Being in muggy Massachusetts isn’t without some joy. I went over to my aunt’s today (my mom’s best friend, not a blood relative) and got to ride in both her International K1 and her boyfriend’s Mustang. My aunt’s father worked for International for a very long time and this truck is very much a legacy. He restored it in the early 80s. He’s no longer with us, but my aunt does a great job of starting up, driving it around, and giving it routine maintenance. It’s really charming and amazing!
The Mustang rode quite well. It’s pretty much all original. It really has me thinking about getting one (a manual though - and with some restomod potential).

Nice truck. When I went to Quantico for OCS from Hawaii I was surprised by the humidity, I had no idea the east coast would be humid.

Agreed. The pony package interior is a nice subtle little thing as well.
It’s a shame that it’s a 3 speed auto with drums on all 4 corners.

I didn’t realize that until I had to run around the tarmac that Marine One lands on. A black ball flag is raised when it’s not safe to run outside, I felt most days should have been blackballed.

Yes, this car is not or spirited driving.
On the other hand, a buddy of mine ferried us around in his Dad’s when we were in HS did plenty of spirited things in it until he grenades the trans.

I love that International. Being near Springfield, Ohio I actually see a decent number of their trucks come up for sale, but they’re typically in very rough shape. There’s actually a mobile home near the highway that has 5 of their trucks and SUVs parked beside it. Sadly I think only one runs and the others are slowly returning to the earth.

Both look beautiful! My Mustang is currently 4 wheel drum and automatic...the auto will stay for now, but not the front drums.
